Passionate About Leading Others to Healing And Inner Peace

Briana Brown-Outlaw is the Founder of Breakthrough to Paradise. She is an overcomer of 11 years of severe depression and anxiety. Her mental illness and lack of coping skills eventually led her to attempt suicide in 2013 at age 19. Since then, she has spent time healing, creating resources, and sharing her transforming story with the community. She is equipped with the gift of creating safe spaces for people to open up about their difficulties with mental health and gently leads people to healing

Briana is fueled by her passion for understanding youth who feel like the stress from their life is overwhelming. She aims to build authentic relationships while giving practical tools that help with overcoming every day challenges as an adolescence. She considers herself a "forever learner" as she is eager to grow in both her knowledge of psychology and sociology. She is committed to delivering meaningful messages and content to youth.

Her perseverance and determination to break the stigma of mental illnesses and activate healthy life skills has contributed to her most recent success "Breakthrough the Stigma," a public mental health event. She led over 40 attendees to dive deep in their emotions and to connect with strangers. She created curriculum and interactive activities that challenged their previous thoughts about emotions and well-being. Attendees raved about their appreciation for the authenticity, organization, and ability to have real conversations with others. Briana has also partnered with the YMCA to deliver activities for youth to learn about their mental health.

What she enjoys most about her work is finding creative ways to bring people together to show how we all experience similar emotions and can connect on a deeper level.

Briana believes mindfulness in schools is the key to successfully preparing students. After being employed as a case manager for two adolescent units at a behavioral hospital located in Dallas she decided to commit fully to the vision of helping others with their mental health. She is now a full-time entrepreneur with 501c3- Breakthrough to Paradise and her second business as a Breakthrough Coach. Aside from entrepreneurship, she finds joy in painting, creating youtube videos, fitness, traveling, nature, her relationship with Jesus, and meditation. She hopes to bring inner peace to your school and is always interested in a challenge.
