Youth struggling with mental health problems need
stability and support;
we give it to them.
our Misson
To create consistency in the mental health community by providing adolescents' and families with trauma-informed mentorship throughout the healing journey.
bridging the gap between behavioral health, education systems, and families.
Breakthrough to Paradise is committed to establishing continuum of care systems that make mental health and mentorship part of an overall wellness strategy.

We believe adolescents and their families deserve consistent support at each stage: while receiving behavioral health services in schools, inpatient, and beyond discharge.

We make this happen by partnering our trained mentors with patients to support and advocate for them in school, hospitals, and individual provider care.

Reduces the likelihood of:

-
important information slipping through the cracks
-
feeling lonely, insecure, and uncertain at the time of discharge
-
stigmas being placed on patients if re-hospitalization occurs
-
having to re-tell and relive traumatic memories alone
-
parents feeling confused or lacking support
Increases opportunities for:

-
receiving consistent care throughout the mental health process
-
practicing coping skills and resources with guided support
-
connecting to a community that understands the challenges
-
creating a smoother transition from system to system. eg: hospitalization to school, school to hospitalization, IOP to a psychiatrist etc.

What We Do
OUTGROW DARKNESS.
IGNITE LIGHT.
STRENGTHEN COMMUNITIES.
Breakthrough to Paradise is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that helps youth find the light at the end of their tunnel. We work with underprivileged students in grades 6-12 who have experienced trauma or emotional distress. Our specialized programs are delivered and created by mental health professionals to create a safe space through mentoring, interactive activities, and after school mental health support groups. Our goal is to partner with Intensive Outpatient Programs, Partial Hospitalization Programs, and schools to provide additional support.
